Vietnam War Memorial and Vietnam Tribute in Billings This July

Featuring the wall that heals and a special Vietnam veterans tribute

Billings, Montana, is set to host The Wall That Heals, a traveling three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, from July 2 to July 5, 2026.

The exhibit will be located at Will James Middle School, offering the community a profound opportunity to honor and remember those who served in the Vietnam War.

Open to the public free of charge, the memorial will be accessible 24 hours a day during its stay.

Visitors can reflect on the more than 58,000 names etched into the replica, each representing a service member who made the ultimate sacrifice.

In addition to the wall, a mobile education center will accompany the exhibit, featuring photos, artifacts, and stories from the Vietnam era.

This center aims to provide deeper insights into the experiences of veterans and the historical context of the war.

Local veteran organizations, including the Yellowstone Veterans Committee, have been instrumental in bringing this exhibit to Billings.

They emphasize the importance of making such tributes accessible to veterans who may find it challenging to travel to Washington, D.C.

Volunteers are still needed to assist with the event.

Those interested can reach out to the organizers for more information.

For further details about The Wall That Heals and its mission, community members are encouraged to visit the official website of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
