Could Daylis Stadium Soon Become Heenan-Cook Stadium? |
A new proposal in Billings is stirring up community pride โ and a potential name change for one of the cityโs most iconic sports venues. The idea: rename Daylis Stadium to Heenan-Cook Stadium, in tribute to legendary Billings Senior High coaches Joseph Heenan and Don Cook. Supporters say the duo left a lasting legacy on local athletics, shaping generations of student-athletes with their leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication. The name change, they argue, would be a powerful way to permanently honor their impact. The Billings School District board is set to discuss the proposal at an upcoming meeting, where a final decision could bring a new name โ and a new chapter โ to this historic stadium. |
