Exploring the brewing industry and craft beer showcased at the Western Heritage Center |
The Western Heritage Center in Billings has unveiled a new exhibit, "Having a Beer in Billings," offering an in-depth look at the city's longstanding relationship with beer.
Running from March through December 2026, the exhibit delves into the evolution of Billings' brewing industry, from its early-20th-century origins to the vibrant craft beer scene today.
Visitors can explore artifacts, photographs, and stories that highlight how beer has been a cornerstone of the city's social and economic fabric.
Notably, the exhibit features a reproduction of the iconic neon sign from the Billings Brewing Company, once considered the largest in the nation.
Additionally, a restored Ford Model T, reminiscent of the original "beer mobile," is on display, offering a tangible connection to the past.
Coinciding with the exhibit, Billings Craft Beer Week is set to take place from May 10 to 16, 2026.
The week-long celebration includes a variety of events, such as brewery tours, tastings, trivia nights, and the Last Best Beer Run—a 5K race through downtown breweries that culminates in a community gathering at Dehler Park.
Participants can also engage with the Billings Brew Pass to earn rewards and vote in the Brew Off competition.
